Every day going to the beach is such a relaxing activity that many people indulge in it every year. There’s something for everyone to enjoy doing.
If you enjoy swimming, there’s the ocean. If you have a sense of adventure, you can dig in the sand and build things out of it. If you want to do absolutely nothing, you can lay on a towel out on the beach and read, take a nap or just sit there and do nothing. The couple in the story chose to spend most of their time digging away at the sand. What started as just another day at the beach soon turned into the most terrifying experience of their lives.
A couple decided to take a trip to the beach near Victoria, Texas. It was the summertime and the weather outside was gorgeous, meaning that it was the perfect day to spend every moment of it at the beach. The couple decided that once they were done soaking up the sun, they’d use the garden shovels and wheelbarrow they decided to bring along with them to take a huge pit in the sand to fill with water and relax in. This is something you hear about kids doing at the beach, but these two adults felt no shame in partaking in this activity, even if it seemed or look childish. When the couple got to the beach, they went over to their usual spot where there were hardly ever any people.
They decided to spend the beginning of the trip swimming in the ocean in sudden bathing while the sun was still high and bright in the sky. Once it went down a little bit and the temperature got a little colder is when they figured they’d start digging in the sand. A few hours passed and the couple had soaked up all the sudden they possibly could have. I thought now was the perfect time to get the shovels and wheelbarrows so they could start digging the massive pit in the sand that they had planned to dig while at the beach. They started by digging a large perimeter that would serve as an outline for the sandpit.
Once the parameter was dug, they slowly began to dig out the rest of the pit. The couple frequently filled their wheelbarrow with sand and rolled it about 15ft away from where they were digging. They wanted to put all the sand back into the pit when they were done so that the large spot on the beach could be used for other people to lay on rather than leaving a massive pit there as an inconvenience for other beachgoers. Eventually, the couple found themselves hitting something solid with both their shovels. They thought that it was just a large stone so they decided to try and dig around it and maybe remove it afterward if they could.
But each time they tried to dig around it their shovels would hit the hard surface again. Whatever the couple was hitting their shovels with had been massive so they figured now they would just focus on digging up whatever it was since it piqued their curiosity. As they were digging, they began to notice large holes and outlines on what it was they were digging up. After about 20 minutes of digging, the couple was horrified and finally figured out what it was. The couple had found a massive human skull.
The skull itself was huge and had to be one of the largest ones ever found by anyone. They had no idea whether or not it was some kind of crime scene involving an open investigation so they called the police just to be safe. When the police arrived, they confirmed that the Giants call wasn’t part of any crime scene or active investigation so they ended up calling an archeological team to come to take a look at the couple’s finding. When the team arrived, they were able to confirm that the skull wasn’t form any type of animal and did indeed have many human characteristics. After some photography measurement and research, the team was able to confirm that the skull was indeed the largest human skull ever found.
But without the full skeleton, Many details on this being skull remain a mystery and cannot be determined until more proportionate bones are discovered. The investigation remains open to this very day. Other archeological teams claim to have found bones that match the proportions of the skull but communication regarding meeting up and putting the skeleton together is constantly being delayed for unknown reasons because the giant skull isn’t displayed anywhere for the public to view in person. Many people believe that the skull isn’t real and it’s just all some wild made-up story. Others remain more optimistic and have been inspired to dig around where the giant skull was originally found to see if any other matching skeletal remains can be found that would aid in the investigation.
Whatever your stance is, you can’t help but feel a little intrigued and wonder if humans that were that big ever existed. At some point, hopefully, more developments are made as time goes on.
