Yoder, Colorado. – PETA offers rewards of up to $ 5,000. for information leading to the arrest and conviction of animal cruelty to the person (s) who shot and beheaded a German shepherd dog and left the animal’s body on the side of the road.
A local resident found the dog’s headless body lying on a black plastic bag about a mile down a private road near Antioch and S. Yoder Streets on Sunday evening. There was a single gunshot wound on the body.
“Instead of being provided with a safe, loving home, this dog was shot, disfigured and dumped by the side of the road,” says PETA vice president Colleen O’Brien. “PETA encourages anyone with information to report it immediately before anyone gets hurt.”
Anyone with information on this case is advised to call El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at 719-520-7777.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way,” is opposed to arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
