Wilmington, North Carolina – By July 4th, PETA has combed the country for 10 best vegan dogs—And a local restaurant Vegan Restaurant Sealevel City won a spot on the list for a deep-fried Buffalo Crunchy Dog wrapped in Buffalo sauce and garnished with sauerkraut, ranch kimchi and cilantro.

According to the World Health Organization, processed meat, including hot dogs, causes cancer. Every person who goes vegan has a lower risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes; dramatically reduces the carbon footprint; and helps prevent future epidemics and pandemics. Swine flu, avian flu, and COVID-19 arose from keeping and killing animals for food.
For animals in the meat industry, workers cut off pig tails, cut off their teeth with pliers, and castrate males — all without any pain relief — and keep cows in tight, dirty pens without weather protection. In slaughterhouses, workers hang animals upside down, often while they are still conscious, and bleed to death.
Other winners on the PETA list include a Nacho hot dog at The Vegetable Hunter in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Califas Dawg at Cali Dawg in San Jose, California; Eloth the dog at Cycle Dogs in Seattle; and Buldogi at Sly Dogs in Tampa, Florida. Each diner will receive a framed certificate from PETA, which also offers a list of the best ready-to-heat vegan hot dogs available in grocery stores on its website.
