Lithia, Florida. – Brinley Lavayen she’s only 5 years old but has already written a book on animal rights and raised hundreds of dollars for animal shelters – now her creative efforts to help animals have won her top honors at the PETA Kids’ 2021 competition Animal Contest Stars Match…
A vegetarian from birth, Brinley recently wrote and illustrated a book on vegan eating, adopting dogs and cats, and abstaining from circuses that force animals to perform, and she willingly shared copies of it with classmates and family members. When everyone stayed at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she organized virtual dance lessons led by her own dance teacher in exchange for donations to the animal shelter, and when her birthday came, she offered everyone hand-drawn pictures. who made a donation, raising over $ 800. When she grows up, she wants to open her own animal shelter.
“Brinley’s creativity and passion for animal welfare make her the undisputed star in PETA Kids,” says Martha Holmberg, PETA Senior Director of Youth Programs. “Her activity is a prime example of how each of us can use our talents to help animals in need.”
