Orlando, Florida. – Any families thinking of a trip to Seaworld on Labor Day will be greeted with a message in the sky – PETA and Florida Animal Rights Foundation supporters will crowd at the entrance to the marine park, and a banner waving over it will warn: “The seaworld is abusing dolphins. Don’t go away. ” This scene represents a new action in a campaign to prevent SeaWorld from sentencing marine mammals to life imprisonment in cramped reservoirs where dolphins and whales are forcibly artificially inseminated and otherwise mistreated.
When: Monday, September 6, 10-11 (demonstration) and 11-12: 30 (overpass).
Where: 7007 Sea World Dr., Orlando
“SeaWorld turns mothers into breeding machines and uses their babies as show props,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA makes it clear that violence is not fly… “
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
