Long Island, NY – Bull Barney, who has been hiding on Long Island for months, is now safe in his new refuge home (where he is now known as Hannibal). PETA and Long Island Orchestrating for Nature (LION) just paid a grand tribute to him – and other bulls – at the intersection of Montauk Highway and S. County Road in Brookhaven, New York. The groups strive to inspire those touched by Barney’s story to help other animals escape the slaughterhouse knife and go vegan – and PETA offers a three-week trial to help get started.
