People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)

We are taught the Golden Rule as children, and all major religions teach the principles of non-violence and kindness. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Injustice everywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Ethical treatment – the Golden Rule – should apply to all living things: reptiles, mammals, fish, insects, birds, amphibians and crustaceans.
