Scottsdale, Arizona. – On Friday, PETA supporters will visit The McCormick Scottsdale, owned by Millennium Hotels and Resorts, with “dead dogs” and suitcases with a parody of “Mill”.hellium, ”condemning the sponsorship of the Iditarod dog sled race, which killed more than 150 dogs.
When: Friday, July 16, 5 pm
Where: McCormick Scottsdale, 7421 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale
“This much-despised race forces dogs to traverse nearly 1,000 miles of ice and wind in just two weeks, driving some animals to death,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. PETA calls on Millennium Hotels and Resorts check about Iditarod’s cruelty to dogs by ending sponsorship. “
PETA – whose motto is partly that “animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human excellence.
