Lexington, Kentucky. – On Tuesday, PETA supporters, joined by huge, unrivaled alpacas, sheep and other puppets, will wreak havoc outside the Urban Outfitters store on Main Street and loudly demand that Urban Outfitters and its other brands, including Anthropologie and Free People – Leave Alpaca Fur , wool, leather, down, mohair and cashmere to their original owners.
When: Tuesday 26 October 12:00
Where: Urban Outfitters, 401 W. Main St., Lexington
“Urban Outfitters stores are graveyards of animals that have been beaten, slaughtered and killed,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA encourages Urban Outfitters brands to comply with the company’s sustainability and ethical consumer requirements by selling only vegan materials – which would be easy to do because they already have them in stock.”
PETA – whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human excellence.
