Carlsbad, California. – AND Business Compassion Award is on the road from PETA to a street-to-hillside retailer Alps and rock, who confirmed that she switched to feather-free vegan insulation, making the company 100% cruelty-free. PETA sends him a box of delicious vegan chocolates as a token of gratitude.
“No rabbit, cow, sheep or goose will be harmed by the Alp N Rock design, and that’s what PETA is celebrating,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “While brands such as Canada Goose continue to profit from the violent deaths of coyotes and birds, Alp N Rock creates the ruthless outerwear that today’s good-hearted shoppers need.”
In addition to the eco-friendly, feather-free down, Alp N Rock has a cruelty-free policy that is committed to the use of vegan leather, faux fur and vegan wool. PETA revelations revealed that workers pluck the feathers of ducks and geese by a handful to obtain fluff; burn, electroshock, beat and slaughter cows on the skin; leave to rot minks in cages and baton rabbits with metal tubes for fur; and beat, kick and maim the delicate sheep for their wool.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “animals are not in our hands” – opposes specisism, which is a worldview focused on human excellence. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
