Oklahoma city “Since Gov. Kevin Stitt announced that Meat All Week is now a hit in Colorado for Animal and Environmental Day — PETA plans to place a billboard outside the Capitol calling for the“ dumb ”governor to celebrate the industry is killing animals. clogs arteries and pollutes the planet.
“The governor may wish to flatter the meat industry, but what they are selling is inhuman, unhealthy and an environmental nightmare,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “The PETA billboard will motivate savvy Oklahomanians to ignore political complicity and join the vegan revolution.”
In addition to killing billions of animals a year, the meat industry pollutes waterways with wastewater from factory farms; is associated with diseases such as heart attacks, cancer and diabetes; manages slaughterhouses where workers have been exposed to COVID-19; and poses a threat to future pandemics. SARS, swine flu, avian flu, and COVID-19 all arose from keeping and killing animals for food.
On its website, PETA offers delicious lean meat recipes, a vegan starter kit with tips, and a vegan mentoring program to provide personalized personalized advice on cooking, shopping, and more.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
Note: PETA supports animal rights, opposes all forms of animal exploitation and educates the public on these issues. PETA does not participate, directly or indirectly, or interfere in any political campaign on behalf of or against any candidate for public office or any political party.
