“Starbucks is counting its beans when it needs to tally the number of customers it will lose if it doesn’t stop raising its vegan milk price any time soon,” said PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “People who want to drink responsibly for the sake of animals or their own health, or because they know that dairy farming is fueling the climate crisis, are unhappy with a company that puts profit over ethics.”
PETA also runs vegan coffee drink dispensers outside of Starbucks stores in Omaha, Nebraska and several other cities.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat,” is opposed to arrogance, a worldview focused on human excellence.
