Kissimmee, Florida. – Ahead of Memorial Day weekend, PETA has set up a giant billboard outside SeaWorld, warning people of the pitiless suffering of the animals it contains and urging them to avoid the place at all costs.
“Forcibly breeding and imprisoning marine mammals in cramped, sterile reservoirs like SeaWorld is offensive, not fun,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA asks everyone with a heart to leave the sea abuseThe cop throws this holiday out of his plans every day. “
In SeaWorld, 140 dolphins are huddled together in just seven small tanks where they cannot escape the attacks of other frustrated, aggressive dolphins. On the contrary, in nature, bottlenose dolphins maintain dynamic relationships with major social networks, choose a mate for themselves and swim freely in the ocean. Unwanted female dolphins are plucked out of the water and sometimes drugged to prevent them from resisting while the staff shoves tubes filled with sperm into their uterus. Some animals have been fertilized repeatedly just to lose their young.
The billboard is located at 4445 W. Vine St., visible from FL-530 in Kissimmee.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, which is a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit SeaWorldOfHurt.com…
