Angels – Ahead of the holiday weekend, PETA supporters will visit the Millennium Biltmore Hotel with ‘dead dogs’ and suitcases with a fake ‘Millhellium’ logo to denounce sponsorship of the Iditarod dog race, which killed more than 150 dogs.
When: Friday 2 July, 12:00
Where: Millennium Biltmore Hotel, 506 S. Grand Ave. (at the intersection with Fifth Street), Los Angeles
PETA calls on Millennium Hotels and Resorts check about Iditarod’s cruelty to dogs, says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “The company is letting the animals and their guests down by supporting a race that keeps the dogs running so far and so fast that some die after inhaling their own vomit.”
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
