Kingsport, Tennessee. – PETA is offering rewards of up to $ 5,000, bringing the total possible reward to USD 13,000–for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people who tied a German shepherd to the back of a white sedan and dragged it through the parking lot of the Evangelical Mission Church on Lone Star Road on the night of January 28th. the next morning he injured the dog and took him to the vet. The dog, now called Church, has sustained severe ankle, knee and chest injuries and is slowly recovering.
According to video surveillance, there were at least two people in the car.
“This gentle dog earned love and a safe home, but was tortured for fun instead,” says PETA senior director Stephanie Bell. “PETA urges everyone with information to report it immediately so that the perpetrator of this heinous crime will be held accountable and no such events will occur in the future.”
