BUT “code red for humanity“This is what we will face if people do not take immediate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions everywhere, according to a recent climate report published by the United Nations (UN). But we have the power to do something about it, humanely against methane…
PETA has received funds to distribute 10,000 methane compensation starter kits in some of the US’s most vulnerable cities to climate change so that people can take personal action. right now…
A humane approach to saving humanity (and animals!)
Since the UN has identified animal husbandry as the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions, long-term storage kits contain a block of tofu, seeds for growing soybeans (100 calories of which contain 13 grams of protein more than 100 calories of beef). , non-dairy creamer, recipes and a vegan starter kit from PETA is enough to get anyone started on the path of sustainable living and healthy, humane eating. PETA is shipping kits to cities expected to face increased flooding, hotter days, more rain and flooding, and cities experiencing more wildfires.
These organic products are not the result of the exploitation of mothers who are separated from their calves for dairy products; chickens packed tightly in dark, filthy barns with nowhere to roam for eggs and meat; or others used in animal husbandry.
Livestock adds fuel to the fire – let’s work to put it out
The UN said a global vegan diet is needed to combat the worst impacts of climate change, with livestock alone being responsible for nearly one fifth all anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. Clearing land to raise animals and grow crops to feed them is a major cause of deforestation, including in the Amazon, and animal husbandry uses huge amounts of water, contributing to droughts and wildfires.
The fight against climate change begins with us, and we must act now. You can join PETA’s work to help animals and the planet by becoming a vegan today:
