Cumberland, Maryland. – The Supreme Court rejected a three-state zoological park motion to re-examine PETA’s victory in a federal endangered species lawsuit against the infamous roadside zoo. Below you will find a statement by the PETA Foundation’s Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, Kaitlyn Hawkes:
Champagne corks burst at PETA amid long-awaited news that no other endangered species will survive, according to a federal court, an “early and tragic” death at this “fetid and gloomy” roadside zoo. And the case is already in another lawsuit, which is aimed at bringing dozens of animals out of this hellish hole that are not protected by the Endangered Species Act.
