College Station, Texas – Please see the following statement from PETA Senior Vice President Katie Guillermo regarding news that a Texas A&M University Equine Veterinarian has been charged with animal cruelty:
Something rotten at the Texas A&M Veterinary School. PETA exposed Texas A&M’s experiments with canine muscular dystrophy, and the veterinary school refuses to release nine perfectly healthy dogs that it no longer uses, even though PETA offered to take them all and put them in loving homes. Now one of the school veterinarians has been charged with electric shocks to a horse. President M. Catherine Banks must clean up the house, release the dogs, and fire those who have held and abused animals.
