New York – In response to footage released by the Kindness Project showing crocodiles on Hermès farms in Australia, chained to concrete handles, electrocuted, stabbed to death, shot and mutilated with screwdrivers, PETA will raid the brand’s flagship store in a sea of blood. “To put to shame the” luxury “brand for selling exotic leather. The exhibition is part of a large-scale international campaign that includes additional “bloody” events in countries from Australia and Austria to Spain and Switzerland.
When: Hermès, 691 Madison Avenue, New York
Where: Wednesday, 8 September, 12 noon
“No wallet is worth the excruciating death of an animal,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA urges Hermès to heed protests against crocodile abuse and to pack exotic skins.”
PETA – whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
