Fargo, North Dakota – Big Iron Farm Show attendees will receive food for thought from PETA in a new ad campaign that indicates that demand for vegan products in America is skyrocketing and that the plant-based food market will grow to more than $ 162 billion over the next decade – thanks to the meat and dairy industry, which is shown research, kill not only animals, but the entire planet.
“Delicious veggie burgers, soybeans, corn on the cob and egg-free potato salad are the food of the future,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “American ingenuity means food cultivators need to grow what will sell, which means vegan food, because the plant-based revolution is gaining traction with or without them.”
Report in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America states that if American farmers used all the land currently dedicated to raising cows, pigs and chickens to grow plants for human consumption, they could feed more than twice as many people as now. And such a move will prevent the suffering of animals used for food in overcrowded premises and a terrible trip to the slaughterhouse, where they are hung and their throats cut. Livestock is also responsible for greenhouse gases, massive water consumption, groundwater pollution and pollution of faecal ponds, and these are linked to colon and prostate cancer, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. More than half of Americans now buy vegan meals instead of meat and dairy products.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
PETA billboard is located at 4300 13th NS. SW It is adjacent to numerous hotels that can accommodate over 60,000 show goers, as well as several restaurants.
