Virtual SOS The summer summit is approaching in August, and it’s all about getting back there, raising our level of activity and freeing the animals.
Let’s change our priorities and take to the streets for animal liberation
We’ve all just survived a pandemic for over a year, including social distancing and isolation, but now there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We would like to say the same for all animals cut off from their homes and families or raised in captivity, but we cannot. For them, their whole life is isolation. This is why we must use our freedom to fight for them.
Whether it’s pigs locked in pregnancy boxes, monkeys tortured in laboratories, or elephants forced to ride, animals need us to take big and bold actions to tell their stories and change people’s minds. Our Summer Rise and Liberation Summit will be about empowering, inspiring and inspiring everything we can to change the world for animals.
What to expect at the summit this summer
Leveling up and freeing is a push to build a community in activism that we all need to go back there and get louder for the animals. Participants can look forward to student panels with SOS organizers, a quiz night, PETA staff presentations and Q&A sessions, including with hilarious PETA VP Dan Matthews, a special movement session led by Dz Vegan Athletes, free stuff (stickers, personal care products, school supplies, snacks, and more goodies) and much more! (We don’t want to give away all the surprises.)
