Still on the rise from Canada Goose’s fur-free announcement less than a week ago, PETA is wiping sweat from its forehead after hearing that the Neiman Marcus Group (NMG) is also at last ban fur in their stores (including Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman). And all this thanks to persistent grassroots activists such as you who have protested violently over the years to force NMH to join the fur-free revolution.
Victory! @neimanmarcus will stop selling fur! Thanks to all the activists who have protested over the years to get this done! We are confident that the company will stop selling fur faster than its stated goal, as no one wants to be seen dead in fur anymore. pic.twitter.com/8DaeyBFt9b

By removing the fur, the NMG will prevent electric shocks, gas poisoning and the killing of thousands of animals. Our campaign to get the company to stop selling fur began decades ago when PETA president and professional agitator Ingrid Newkirk was arrested in 1986 during a sit-in:
Since then, hundreds of major designers and retailers have banned fur, and dozens of localities – including an entire country – have banned the sale or breeding of furs for them. Clearly, no one wants to be caught dead in the mercilessly sourced material, so we’re confident NMG will act faster to end fur sales than the stated end goal.

Huge Thanks to all the activists who have protested over the years and helped achieve this major victory for animals! Now let’s convince the last few remaining members of the fur industry to stop selling skins stolen from tortured animals:
What are these companies waiting for? Tell them to ban fur too
