They know that harmless sheep and alpacas are beaten, kicked, restrained and maimed by the wool or fiber of the alpaca; sensitive goats are pinned and roughly sheared for mohair, leaving them cut and bleeding, or their hair is pulled out with sharp metal combs for cashmere; tender cows are burned, shocked, beaten and slaughtered on the skin. They know that whenever animals are part of the supply chain, their welfare comes second.

We know Urban Outfitters is aware of the abuse because we told the company about it – as do tens of thousands of activists like you. But until now, the suffering of animals is ignored. This holiday season, let’s make sure these brands can’t ignore it anymore.
Use these tags to inform you that the true value of animal materials is not on the price tag!
Print them out and hang them on animal clothing racks at Urban Outfitters stores to let shoppers know that clothing, accessories and home furnishings containing these materials are horribly distressing and must be outdated. Use a hanger tag that matches the material of the garment. For example, if a sweater contains wool, use a hanger tag that explains how the wool industry harms sheep.
Eco-friendly materials are readily available – cotton, tencel, modal, polyester, bamboo, canvas, denim, faux shearling, nylon, spandex and others. there is not an excuse that the face of fashion is fear.
