Save lives and spark romance: go on a trash fishing date!
Caring for the environment is sexy, while harming and killing others is disgusting. Traditional fishing is a cruel practice where animals are hooked through their sensitive mouths and sometimes even cut while they are still alive. Whether to protect delicate fish from slow suffocation or to increase your chances of finding love, PETA recommends hanging your rod and going outside to catch some droppings.

Although fish feel pain as intensely as mammals, they are killed more for food each year than all other animals combined. In addition, an estimated 640,000 tonnes of “ghost gear” enter the oceans each year, which often causes birds to become entangled in discarded lines, swallow hooks and suffer when the hooks cut into their skin or beaks.
PETA makes it quick and easy to take action on fish. It only takes a minute with your phone or computer, so what are you waiting for?
