San Antonio – Armed with signs that read “Stop, Collaborate and Listen: Animals Suffer at SeaWorld” and “Beautiful Soul Doesn’t Support SeaWorld Dolphin Abuse,” PETA will protest. Vanilla ice‘sand Jesse McCartneyconcerts at SeaWorld on July 10 and 17 respectively, making the performers explode for support abusecop park.
“Vanilla Ice and Jesse McCartney can choose to play at the marine park, but killer whales and other dolphins at SeaWorld cannot choose where to go, what to eat, who to live with, or whatever else matters to them,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk … “PETA encourages potential ticket buyers to skip every SeaWorld show, from sad dolphin shows to comeback concerts.”
In nature, killer whales and other dolphins swim long distances, form complex relationships, and choose their own mates. But those at SeaWorld are crammed into small tanks where they cannot escape the attacks of other frustrated aggressive animals. To date, more than 40 killer whales have died on the SeaWorld watch, and although the park has stopped breeding them due to public pressure, it still breeds other captive female dolphins, sometimes injecting them with drugs so they cannot resist.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit SeaWorldOfHurt.com or subscribe to PETA on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
