San Diego – After hearing from PETA, local cosmetics brand MoxieLash agreed to ban fur, which usually comes from minks that are caged, killed, and skinned to make false eyelashes.
“When it comes to animal suffering, there is no difference between a mink coat and a mink eyelash,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA honors MoxieLash for recognizing that fur looks beautiful. Only on those who are born with it. “
As PETA notes in its correspondence with MoxieLash, mink fur usually comes from fur farms, which force animals to live in wire cages so small that they cannot take more than a few steps. Many of them suffer from broken bones, untreated infections, or missing legs or eyes. These animals are electrocuted, gassed, poisoned or drowned, and some remain alive when they are skinned by workers.
PETA, whose motto, in particular, says that “animals are not in our hands” and which opposes arrogance, a worldview based on human superiority, urges OpulenceMD Beauty and Lilly Lashes to abandon fur, like Sephora, Tarte, Urban … Decay, Velor and other beauty brands.
