San Diego – Last night, when SeaWorld confirmed that 6-year-old Killer Whale Amaya had died, PETA already filed a complaint with the USDA this week asking for an investigation after receiving two reports from whistleblowers about the incident that may have caused the death. The following is a statement from PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman:
If a whistleblower reports that the PETA received is true, Amaya’s killer whale died just days after SeaWorld workers placed all 10 killer whales in one tank, despite a documented history of aggression among some of them, causing Amaya to stalk, loot and injure much more. old orca Corky who could get revenge in the blink of an eye.
